Save Luna and her Kittens! Abandoned cat rescue fund

I am having a private auction to support an abandoned kitty "Luna" as I've dubbed her, she was dumped off by her owners near my property in April, and now heavily pregnant, malnourished, and due to give birth any day she showed up on my doorstep begging to be rescued. She is so sweet and loving it is sick to think someone would abandon such a beautiful loving cat with special needs (she is missing her canines and has stomach sensitivities so has to be on special food). This auction is to help raise funds so that we can feed her and her babies, buy litter, meds, vaccinate her and the kittens and get her spayed. She will be adopted out to a new home along with her kittens when they are ready.

Crochet slouch hats

Hello there fellow crafters!
This year for my New Years resolution I decided to teach myself a new craft. I already knew a few basic crochet stitches but I wanted to be able to read patterns and make cool hats and accessories (not your traditional grannie squares and blankets!) With the help of Lion Brand Yarn's Learn to Crochet videos and Bobwilson123's YouTube online tutorials I can now make just about anything and it was so EASY! Anyone can learn to make their very own beanie or slouch hat in just over an hour or two. With Bobwilson123's basic beanie crown video, and some creativity you can design and even sell your hats!

This one was created using a cross stitch pattern and is available in my Etsy shop

Happy crocheting!

Chocolate covered peanut butter balls

Last night my boyfriend asked me to think of something fun for us to do, and boy did I do a good job. We made chocolate covered peanut butter balls..YUM! They were so good we were eating the batter before they made it to the fridge!

2 c. creamy or nutty peanut butter (I prefer nutty)
1 c. softened butter
1 lb. powdered sugar (about one bag 500g)
2 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 tsp. vanilla - I always add a little extra ;)

1 package of chocolate chips (I like to mix half milk chocolate half semi-sweet)

Mix together (takes quite a while and you need some muscle to do it, this is where the bf comes in) roll into small balls and drop onto parchment paper (makes around 75 depending on how big you make them) Refrigerate for 20 min. Melt your chocolate chips on LOW heat in a sauce pan, stirring the whole time (or in microwave on 20sec increments till melted stirring in-between). Take peanut butter balls out of fridge and using a spoon pour globs of chocolate on top. Refrigerate for another 20 min. Then ENJOY :)

Now when I did this I was being impatient and instead of waiting for the chocolate to become totally liquid by melting I added milk - BAD IDEA. Never ever do that! LOL it became one big hard mass of brownie looking chocolate and there was no going back. I had to start all over again.
